Localizing a Global Brand Experience: The Volkswagen Passenger Cars Website for Turkiye
We design digital experiences that feel both global and locally relevant. For Volkswagen Turkiye, our focus was to adapt the brand’s global design system into a smooth, culturally aligned and user-friendly interface tailored to the needs of the Turkish market. The result is a refined website design that preserves the strength of Volkswagen’s global identity while delivering local clarity and usability.

Volkswagen maintains a strong global digital identity built on a consistent design language. Our task was to take this global design system and rework it for the Turkish market, ensuring usability, clarity and local expectations were fully met without compromising the brand’s visual principles.
Goals
From Global System to a Local Digital Experience
Each market has unique user behaviors and content structures. Our goal was to adapt the global system in a way that feels intuitive and familiar to Turkish users while staying true to Volkswagen’s design standards.
We focused on creating a localized design that:

Our Role
Designing a Local Experience Within a Global Framework
Frank handled the UX and UI design process with a clear emphasis on respecting global guidelines while optimizing for local needs.
Design System Localization
We analyzed the global component library and adapted it to fit Turkish content patterns, language length, layout requirements and local user habits.
UX Adjustments for Local Needs
Navigation, menu structures and page flows were refined to reflect the expectations of the Turkish audience and the specifics of local vehicle configurations.
UI Adaptation
Typography, spacing and interactive elements were fine tuned to ensure visual harmony within the localized version. All adaptations remained aligned with Volkswagen’s global design principles.

Layouts were tested and optimized for mobile, tablet and desktop to ensure consistent quality across every viewport.
