Champions: A Performance and Engagement Platform for MediaMarkt.
We design digital products that help people work with more clarity and motivation. Champions is MediaMarkt’s internal performance and engagement platform, created to support employees across all levels with a simple and motivating digital experience. Originally introduced in the Netherlands, the platform is now being rolled out across multiple countries.
Project Overview
Application helps team members track progress, understand performance and receive recognition in a fast-paced retail environment.
The platform brings together performance metrics, feedback, goals and achievements in one place, encouraging ownership and continuous improvement.
Our aim was to build a digital experience that:
- Makes performance and progress easy to understand
- Supports individual and team motivation
- Highlights achievements in meaningful ways
- Scales smoothly across different countries and organizational structures
Our Role
Frank led the UX Design, UI Design, technical development for mobile application, and the integration planning that connects Champions to MediaMarkt’s internal systems.
We worked closely with MediaMarkt teams to understand operational needs and employee expectations. Personas, workflows and engagement goals shaped the foundation of the product.
Our approach included:
- User-centered design focused on simplicity and motivation
- Scalable technical architecture for a growing international rollout
- Integration with MediaMarkt systems to ensure accurate and real-time information flow
